Veronical Jones is a 34-year experienced educator. She is
a three-time recipient of the mathematics “Teacher of the Year” Award. Ms. Jones
has been a presenter at local and national mathematics workshops on topics
related to effective teaching strategies, classroom management, technology,
and raising standardized test scores. She has served as mathematics
department chairperson and is currently the mathematics content manager at
Stephen F. Austin High School in the Houston Independent School District
(HISD). Mrs. Jones was one of the few teachers to be chosen for the HISD
Superintendent’s “Project 915” team, designed to help high school seniors
pass the TAKS exit level exam. Mrs. Jones’ motto is “Student + Teacher +
