Mary Cherbonnier is a well-known and
highly-regarded educator with 37 years of experience. After serving as an
elementary and middle school teacher, Ms. Cherbonnier traveled throughout
Central Texas implementing Bilingual and English as a Second Language (ESL)
programs for the federal government. Ms. Cherbonnier was a school principal
for 22 years. Under her leadership, an urban elementary school attained the
coveted rating of “Exemplary” from the Texas Education Agency. Ms.
Cherbonnier’s philosophy is that we should set high expectations for each and
every child and by involving them in their own education, children become
life-long learners. Ms. Cherbonnier holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary
Education, a Master of Science in Bilingual/Bicultural Education as well as a
degree in Mid-Management Administration from Texas A & I University.
While at Texas A & I, Ms. Cherbonnier attained certifications in Early
