Kimberlin Sturgis has a B.S. in Chemistry from Alcorn State University, a M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Instructional Technology from Prairie View A & M University, and a science composite certification.  Additionally, Ms. Sturgis served as a science teacher, teacher mentor, Science Department Chairperson, and a Small Learning Community Coordinator in Houston ISD.  Experienced in restructuring schools into small learning communities with personalized education, she has supported teachers and campus leadership in providing data-driven, innovative instructional strategies in a non-traditional environment by utilizing her extensive training in leadership and small learning community development.  Ms. Sturgis has been a presenter at the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA) and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) conferences on topics related to technology integration in science, effective science instruction, and relating science to the real world.
