Dr. Connie Ballard has served for over 29 years in the field of public education. She has worked as a teacher, counselor, assistant principal and principal in the Houston Independent School District (HISD). Dr. Ballard has experience at the elementary, middle school and high school levels. She is currently the Director of Alternative and Charter Schools for HISD. Dr. Ballard is also an adjunct professor in the Principalship Program at the University of Houston. Dr. Ballard received her master’s degree from Houston Baptist University and her doctorate in educational leadership from Sam Houston State University.
